About the challenge

The WIN Mentorship Cohort 8 Hackathon is an exciting opportunity for mentees to apply their skills and knowledge gained through the mentorship program in a real-world project. This hackathon is complementary to the mentorship journey, providing mentees with a platform to showcase their abilities and creativity while working collaboratively with their mentors.

Combining the power of mentorship and hackathons, we unleash the full potential of women in the tech industry. Mentorship provides guidance and support, while hackathons offer hands-on experience. Together, they create a transformative journey that propels women forward. Join us as we bridge the gender gap, foster innovation, and create a truly inclusive tech landscape. Together, we'll make a lasting impact in the industry.

Get started

  1. Define Your Project Topic: Mentees, in consultation with their mentors, will choose a project topic that aligns with their interests and learning objectives. This could be in areas such as AI, data analysis, web development, mobile apps, or any other tech-related field.

  2. Discuss Tools and Technologies: Mentees and mentors will collaborate to identify the tools, technologies, and programming languages required for the project. This ensures that mentees gain hands-on experience with relevant tools and develop skills that are in demand in the industry.

  3. Plan and Execute: Once the project topic and tools are finalized, mentees will work alongside their mentors to plan the project execution. Mentors will provide guidance, support, and technical expertise to help mentees navigate challenges and ensure successful project completion.

  4. Collaborate and Learn: Throughout the hackathon, mentees will have the opportunity to collaborate with their mentors, exchanging ideas, seeking feedback, and learning new concepts. This collaborative environment fosters growth, innovation, and the development of valuable technical and problem-solving skills.

  5. Showcase Your Project: At the conclusion of the hackathon, mentees will have the chance to present their projects to the Girls in Tech community. This is a valuable opportunity to showcase their achievements, receive recognition for their hard work, and gain exposure within the tech industry.

The WIN Mentorship Cohort 8 Hackathon is an immersive and rewarding experience that allows mentees to apply their knowledge, collaborate with industry professionals, and develop practical skills. Get ready to embark on this exciting journey and unleash your potential in the world of tech!

Remember, your mentor is there to support you every step of the way. Make the most of this unique opportunity to learn, grow, and create something remarkable. Together, let's make a lasting impact in the tech community!
