1. Dates: The Girls in Tech WIN Mentorship Cohort 8 Hackathon Challenge powered by iTrain Asia ("the Challenge") will take place from July 1st to August 26th, 2023. Participants are required to adhere to the designated timeline and submit their projects within the specified timeframe.

  2. Eligibility: The Challenge is open to registered members of Girls in Tech Kuala Lumpur ("the Participants"). Participants must be current members of Girls in Tech Kuala Lumpur and meet all eligibility requirements set forth by the organization. By participating in the Challenge, Participants acknowledge and agree to comply with these rules and any additional terms and conditions set by Girls in Tech Kuala Lumpur, iTrain Asia, and TalentCorp Women Industry Network.

  3. Project and Submission Requirements: Participants are required to develop a project based on their preferred mentoring topic, in collaboration with their assigned mentor. The project may involve various tools, technologies, and methodologies agreed upon by the mentor and mentee. Participants are expected to submit their projects on the designated platform (e.g., Devpost) and provide a comprehensive project description, relevant documentation, and any necessary files. Additionally, Participants may be required to create a 3-5 minute video explaining their project and its features, if applicable. Participants are also encouraged to submit their code on GitHub for review, if applicable to their project.

  4. Prizes: The Girls in Tech WIN Mentorship Cohort 8 Hackathon Challenge powered by iTrain Asia may include specific prizes or rewards as determined by the organizers. Details of the prizes will be communicated separately to the Participants.

  5. Judging Criteria and Winner Selection: The Challenge will be judged based on predetermined criteria and evaluation guidelines established by Girls in Tech Kuala Lumpur, iTrain Asia, and TalentCorp Women Industry Network. The judging panel will assess projects based on creativity, technical implementation, innovation, and overall impact. Winners will be selected based on the judging panel's evaluation.

  6. Intellectual Property: Participants retain ownership of the intellectual property rights related to their projects. However, by participating in the Challenge, Participants grant Girls in Tech Kuala Lumpur, iTrain Asia, and TalentCorp Women Industry Network a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display their projects for promotional and educational purposes.

  7. Compliance with Laws: Participants are responsible for ensuring that their projects comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and intellectual property rights. Participants should not incorporate or use any copyrighted materials, trademarks, or confidential information without proper authorization.

  8. Modifications and Disqualification: Girls in Tech Kuala Lumpur, iTrain Asia, and TalentCorp Women Industry Network reserve the right to modify or amend the Challenge rules at any time without prior notice. Participants found in violation of these rules or engaging in any fraudulent or unethical practices may be disqualified from the Challenge.

  9. Disclaimer: Girls in Tech Kuala Lumpur, iTrain Asia, and TalentCorp Women Industry Network and their affiliates are not responsible for any technical issues, errors, or interruptions that may occur during the Challenge. Participants agree to participate in the Challenge at their own risk.
